Uinti Tampere offers adult technique courses as follows:

There are three different options for 5-session courses: technique, freestyle and breaststroke. In addition, there is a 15-session technique course and a training course. For those interested in more goal-oriented training, there is also a masters swimming group that meets twice a week. With the masters group, it is also possible to participate in competitions.

New 5-session courses start throughout the year.

Adult swimmer’s “swimming path”

5-session technique courses --> 15-session technique course --> 15-session training course --> Masters swimming

Adult Technique Course, 5 sessions:

In this 5-session adult technique course, participants get an introduction to 3 swimming techniques: freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. In addition, depending on the group’s wishes, butterfly and/or starting dives and/or turns will also be covered.

Equipment:
Basic equipment: swimming goggles
Course duration: 5 x 60 minutes
Course price: €115

Adult Technique Course:

During this 15-session course, all swimming techniques, starting dives and turns are covered evenly. Among the swimming styles, the main focus is on freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. Emphasis is placed on learning the techniques, body position in the water and efficient swimming. At the beginning of the course, it is recommended to be able to swim 50 meters continuously and to manage in deep water by treading water. Floating and diving are also recommended skills before joining the course.

Equipment:
Basic equipment includes swimming goggles.
Course duration: August–May
Course fee: €65 / month

Adult Training Course:

The adult training course is intended for swimmers who already master the basic swimming techniques and want guided swim training. As a foundation, it is recommended to have completed at least a 5-session technique course and a 5-session freestyle course. The main focus is on improving swimming fitness, without forgetting fine-tuning of technique. To ensure effective training, participants should already be familiar with the content of the technique courses when joining.

Equipment:
The basic equipment required is swimming goggles.
Course duration: August–May
Course fee: €65–75 / month (training 1 or 2 times / week)

Masters:

The Masters group is intended for adult swimmers who are interested in goal-oriented swimming, versatile swim training and competing. The aim is to refine technique and improve fitness, strength, speed and endurance. Practices are held twice a week at the Kaleva Swimming Centre, and the length of each session varies between approximately 2000–3000 m / 60 min.

To participate smoothly in the Masters group training, swimmers must have good command of all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly). In addition, if a swimmer does not have a previous swimming background, they must first attend a technique and/or training group.

Equipment:
The basic equipment consists of a swimsuit and goggles. Training often also uses fins and paddles; a snorkel, pull buoy and kickboard are also useful in practices, but they are not mandatory.
Price of the Masters group: €75 / month (2 practices / week)
