Uinti Tampere is a financially stable swimming club with a turnover of approximately €1.6 million. The club employs 10 full-time and over 70 part-time staff members, and takes pride in being a responsible employer. There are 220 licensed athletes in the club, and each season around 700 beginner swimmers attend its swim schools to learn this vital life skill. The club has been awarded the Star Club recognition by the Finnish Swimming Association and the Finnish Olympic Committee for both children’s and youth sports as well as elite sports – a fine acknowledgement of the quality, responsibility, good governance, and long-term commitment of its operations.
In addition to sports activities, the club operates the popular public sauna at Kaukajärvi, which attracts around 6,000–7,000 visitors every month.
